In short: A digital delivery docket records the delivery or movement, ePOD provides electronic proof around completion or receipt, and a weighbridge ticket records weighing information. They can support the same job, but they are not automatically the same record.

What is a digital delivery docket?

It is the electronic version of the operational delivery or movement record. Depending on the job, it can contain customer, job, driver, vehicle, origin, destination, material, quantity, times, notes, photos and sign-off information.

What is ePOD?

Electronic proof of delivery is evidence that a delivery or movement reached the relevant completion point. The proof can include time, location, signature, photograph or other configured evidence. What counts as useful POD depends on the job and customer requirement.

What is a weighbridge ticket?

A weighbridge ticket records weighing information produced through a weighbridge process. It is valuable evidence of weight, but by itself it does not necessarily contain the full operational story of the construction movement.

Can one job have all three?

Yes. A tipper movement may have a digital job or delivery record, a completed POD and a weighbridge reference or ticket. The important point is keeping the relevant records connected so the office can retrieve the evidence for that movement later.

Why does the distinction matter?

If the office treats every document as interchangeable, customer queries become harder. A weight question needs weighing evidence; a delivery-completion question needs POD evidence; a question about the overall job may need the wider movement record.

What does Tipper360 do?

Tipper360 creates the operational record around the construction movement and can keep configured supporting evidence with it. It does not turn a non-weighbridge record into a weighbridge ticket or replace a legally required document merely by being digital.

What should you ask before replacing paper?

  • What information does the customer actually require?
  • Which evidence comes from the driver?
  • Which evidence comes from a weighbridge or another system?
  • Can the office retrieve everything against the same movement?
  • Can completed PODs be shared without searching through paper?
